Recently, a good friend of mine called me to tell me of a great find he found at the store. Brownie Brittle! I had never heard of this before. I grabbed my phone and did a Google search to check this out. Who knew? There were all kinds of recipes out there for brownie brittle, so I thought I would add mine! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- may need a dash of milk if batter seems dry
- powdered sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
- Whisk the ingredients to combine.
- Pour the batter onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Use an off set spatula to spread batter into a thin layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely before breaking apart with a knife or cutting with a pizza cutter.
- Sprinkle lightly with the powdered sugar.
Note from the author: Many recipes call for a boxed brownie mix. I have used the above yummy and easy recipe and haven’t bought a brownie mix in years!
