Healthy Mango Green Tea Smoothie
I love smoothies and this is actually the first time I’ve tried green tea in any smoothie before. You won’t really taste it but according to this article on WebMD (and many others), it has so many health benefits.
Smoothies are the perfect way to sneak more healthy ingredients into your diet. It’s an easy way to get your kids (or partner!) to eat spinach, supplements, or vitamins. Plus they’ll LOVE the taste, so it’s not a bad way to trick loved ones. :) All you have to do is blend up the healthy ingredients with a nice blend of sweeter ingredients and ice cubes. VOILA, a nutritional breakfast you’ll look forward to.
Try other superfoods and healthy ingredients in your smoothies, like:
- Ginger
- Wheatgrass
- Matcha powder
- Protein powder
- Nutritional yeast
- Spirulina
- Turmeric
- Up to a cup chia seeds
- Nutritional charcoal
- A health-conscious sweetener like maple syrup or agave
I’ll be adding it to my smoothies all the time! If you haven’t tried green tea in your smoothies before this is the perfect place to start, who doesn’t love a sweet and vibrant mango smoothie? If you didn’t plan ahead and make the green tea the night before you could just steep it in a little less water than directed for 5 minutes then add ice to chill.
